What is your message?

Everyone has a great story to tell, why should people care about yours? I will help you elevate your story from dinner party favourite to media worthy. Learn how to capture the attention of the interviewer and inspire your audience.

Does your message belong on TV?

What is the best media outlet to reach out to? Is your story faith-based? Can it be on the evening news? What is the age range for your reach? All questions you need to answer before you pitch that interview. Know your audience and how to speak directly to them.

You got that TV interview now what?

You did it! You are booked to share your story on that Podcast; TV show; Radio show etc...now what? The real work begins! What do you wear? How do you smell (seriously). Do you cross your legs? What do you do with your hands? How do you communicate your message in under 5 minutes? How do you leave a positive lasting impression? Don’t worry I’m here to help with it all!

Now what?

You have an amazing story to tell, how do you let the world know about it?

Find out how to pitch your story to TV shows and once they say yes how to prepare yourself for that live interview!

I have spent almost 20 years in the world of TV, filling the role of Anchor; Host; Senior Executive Producer; Chase Producer; Reporter and Documentary Producer.

I was one of the hosts of 100 Huntley Street - the longest running Christian daily show in Canada. Today, I anchor a multi-faith current affairs show called ‘Context Beyond the Headlines’.

Find out from my experience, what the do’s and don’ts are in TV and how you can ensure you get your message across.

Maggie John is an excellent media professional. She gave me great consulting advice regarding pacing, attire, graphics, and sound for my session at my first national online conference. I was invited to return to the conference the following year and I believe Maggie’s advice was critical to my success.

Visiting with Maggie John in the studio, I could tell right away she had a unique perspective as both a host and a producer that I hadn’t experienced in other interviews. She wasn’t just reading questions for me to answer; she considered how our interview fit into the larger show and enhanced the messaging for the viewer. Maggie is my go-to woman on all things media-related.
